Amazon currently have some Blu-rays in their "3 for 2" offer, at £8.98, including Casino Royale, Close Encounters box set, Hellboy, Rambo, Life of Brian, Men in Black, Spider-Man 3, and a few more!

Cheers for the steer. Having reviewed it, I'd stay away from Rambo (not a great advert for the BD format) but some others there are cracking bargains.

I bought it and loved it! If id rented it on blu-ray would be more than happy to shell out £9.00 or £10.00 for it.

Like Tesco, Asda and a lot of the rest, these cheaper Blu-rays are sent from the Channel Islands, so will take a little longer to arrive.

I thought it was a great all out action movie. The film has excellent picture and sound quality

EDITED BY MODS - house rules violations

unless the UK release is not as good as the US one??

Great deal bought Ultraviolet, Casino Royale, Blood Diamond Close Encounters, Hellboy and Black Hawk Down, works out at £5.99 each bargain. Worth it even though i own them on dvd.

I ask again is the pic quality of Rambo different to the US version Andy?

About leisurelab i dont get how they give Aliens Vs Predator Requiem 3/5, and then they also give The Orphanage and Tropic Thunder 3/5 stars too..AVP Requiem is nowhere near as good as the other 2 i just mentioned...Weird.

I think there maybe some CMS glitches there, as i'm sure The Orphanage got more than 3 stars (i'd certainly give it at least a 4). I'll mention it to Jamie at LL

Could you please provide the link to this 3 for 2 offer or does amazon take the money off once you have got 3 of the one mentioned at checkout? many thanks

Link here - and yes, I believe they take it off at checkout stage.

EDIT - yep, it's taken off at final stage of checkout as a promotion (cheapest Blu-ray's price is deducted). I've just been tempted by 3 corkers for under £30. So much for my self-imposed disc-buying ban

It's better than spending it on

, that's what i keep telling myself!

I got the deluxe version of Casino Royale for £12.98, from Amazon Jersey. and I have just ordered Underworld and Underworld Evolution from Tesco at £8.98 each, just to see Kate Beckinsdale in tight leather gear in HD.

Some cracking deals to be had there - hopefully this will be the start of a BD price war between the likes of Amazon, Play, et al.
