Am i getting the best sound?

I have a Yamaha 1900 and Denon 2500bt connected via hdmi.

When playing back my Yamaha 1900 displays A:Seleect Auto and displays PCM as the sound

Am I getting the best sound playback when watching latest blu rays, Watchmen, WallE etc??? If not how do I change my sound settings to do so?

I have been into all sorts of menus to have a look and even the menus on the discs themselves, dont know what to do?

Hope I'm not being stupid?

PCm means the denons doing the decoding. Id guess (But try both out to see) that the yamaha would do a better decoding job so set the output via hdmi to BITSTREAM on the denon first.

Ensure that under the Audio settings, BD Audio Mode is set to HD Audio Output and that HDMI Audio Out is set to HDMI Multi(Normal) (page 30 of the manual).
