pwiles1968:Where did the RA Yello Power cords sit in the range? I was looking at picking up a used one not sure how much to pay. They were priced at 30 quid pwiles, ive seen the odd one on ebay for 15quid & there a very, very good mains cable for the price as they made a very noticeable difference with my CDP its just a shame RA stopped making them..

The Yello power cable was also used to make the entry range mains extensions, including a neat two socket one. You should also look out for the Blu range which was for computers. The only difference was the addition of surge protection. I agree with jase, £15 for a basic cable and £20 to £30 for the mains extensions. Anything more and you are heading into the 'may as well buy a new Tacima' range.

They are very tough and substantial cables, as a result they don't bend very well. My Blu has a curl in it which will not go away. I also find the plugs get dirty quickly. I suppose that was what detoxit was for, but I just give them a brasso a couple of times a year.

Got my free What Hifi subscribers Chord Silverscreen cable yesterday. I moved my home made mains cable from my CDP to pre, then put the Chord on the CDP.

Yep, definate, noticeable difference from the start. The treble seems more open and the sound seems less bound to the speakers, i.e. wider and freer soundstage.

It's not a massive change but one worth having for under a ton.
