AKG K550 alternatives

Hello all,

I wanted a nice set of over-ear cans for home usage. As the topic says AKG K550 is my first choice.

Can you guys advise me if that the best for its price or there are similar sounding ones for less $.

I also looked at Grado SR80i but when i read anywhere "comfort issues" that disqualifies them as there are days when i need to be in front of PC whole day and i really hate that after couple hours all i can think is the throbing pain coming from my ears

Any advise is appriciated

oh right almost forgot Bose QC15 are great but when battery dies so does the headphones so big no

Got great offer on something i hadnt even taken into consideration Grado SR60i.

Quite comfy and the sound is freakin great ;D
