For a long time I've came to What HiFi for reviews prior to buying headphones and I've always been happy with the advice, but I'm struggling with this one, as I can't find much information out there.
I'm having some AKG700 NC replaced and I've been mandated to for what I can have. AKG, HK or JBL, I've been given £299 to spend, but I've got no idea what to buy.

They have stipulated that they must be bought off the manufactures website and for some reason the AKG 700 NCM2 aren't sold on the AKG UK website. So the above are the flagship models for JBL and HK.
I can't seem to get away with on ear or there would be some good AKGs to choose from.
I listen to all types of music, but generally it tends to be more vocal indie though.
I was wondering / hoping if anyone owns any of the HK or JBLs and can give some feedback. Or any opions on which to go for. There are very few reviews about (which might be telling) and I need to commit to one.
Any help would be much appreciated.
