Airloc and banana connections

Hi new to home cinema, thus a basic question:

Do airloc and banana speaker connections to an AVR make a big diffrence to the sound quality?

no, the main reason to use them would be to prevent short circuits from stray bits of cable(at the amp end of the cable) and for convenience

Not really, Airlock connectors stop oxidization to the speaker wires also give an excellent joint. This keeps them in a brand new condition instead of the usual deterioration over time.

Also connectors reduce the danger of shorting across the terminals which can be expensive!

Thanks, looking at buying new speaker cable. These connections would have significantly increased the price. Don't think I will bother.
