Hi All,

I have been looking at buying a home cinema amp and speakers to go wit my Panasonic LCD and Sony Blu-Ray player. The amps considered have been the Onkyo 606 and the Denon 1909. I quite liked the raw sound of the Onkyo but thought the Denon had more refinement.

Speakers. I have heard the Kef 2005.3's and 3005SE. I am just really torn on which equipment to pick.

Any advice would be appreciated. I could probably go with the B&W MT-30 speakers but the PV1 sub is probably outta my price range.

Thanks,

Rob

This is a hard post to comment on. It sounds like you prefer the Denon 1909? My guess would be the 3005SE sounds better than the 2005.3, but if not, save some money. The B&W MT-30 package includes the PV1, so if you're not going with that, it's just the B&W M1 speakers with whichever sub you decide.
I think at the end of the day, this post really demonstrates you can't just pick these things at random. You really need to audition all the above equipment and go with what you think sounds right - anyone else's opinion isn't important.

HI All,

After listening to the equipment i posted about i think i have made my decision.
Denon 1909ÿKef 3005seQED HDMIQED Sub CableQED Silver Micro (30m)
All this for the price of £1149.95. Am I right to go at this price or are there more competitive retailers around if i travel a bit further?
Thanks,
Rob

Sounds like an excellent price since the KEFs retail at £999 and the Denon at around £450. Had a quick look and I can't see many places discounting these much below these prices so looks like an excellent deal.
