Advice regarding getting spotify to my speakers plz.

I'm interested in playing about with spotify.

I can't see how i can get it to play via my speakers tho.

The oppo105 can accept usb(have a usb hard drive connected playing flac files)

Would it be possible to load spotify on my ipad and then connect to the oppo?

My understanding is that you can only use Spotify on a "mobile device" with a subscription. To use the "free" version you have to stream with a PC. The sound out from the PC could come into your Oppo and use it as a DAC.

I will most probably be taking the subscription service anyway,so would a usb cable from the ipad into the oppo work?

(havn't purchased the usb cable yet)

You'd be as well to get either an Apple TV or Airport Express and stream to it via the iPad. Connect the AEX or ATV to the Oppo via the optical output.
