I bought a sony kdxd9305 " the frist one died after 3 months, would not turn on, So they gave a new one this has also died .

I got in touch with sony and looks like it is a common fault with this model,

I really dont want to have the same set agian . can i ask for a refund or have a differnt model from sony

I got the set from peter tyson with a 5yr guarantee.

any advice PLEASE

Ask Peter Tyson. They have an excellent reputation for service. The goods are not fit for purpose, so yes will be the answer.
 
if you contacted Sony and they knew about the problem, then why didn't they stop selling the model and offer you something different with similar spec.
