I'm wall mounting a Sony 32EX503 in parents' kitchen this weekened. I wanted people's advice on the optimum height from the floor. I am using a 3mm piece of MDF which has been cut to exactly the same size as the TV.

My method for determining the optimum height was to adjust my laser level to eye level and move the cross hairs so that they level dead in the centre of the MDF.

I was wondering if this looked okay to most of you:

The bottom edget is 970mm from the floor. I personally find that people wall mount TVs far too high.

Many thanks!

The optimum height for mounting a TV is supposed to be so that 2/3 up the screen is in line with your eyes when sitting in the viewing position.
