Hi,

I have just purchased a Sony BDV-360FS, which i have connected to my Sony KDL-Z5500.

I love the final result as the sound now matches the quality of the picture 🙂

However one of my pet hates is to have multiple controls, i like to be able to do the standard things like change channel and volume from one remote, only having to reach for the other controls if i want to change a setting.

The amp is connected to the TV via an optical cable with the blue ray and HD box being connected via HDMI. I have tried all the SKY controller SONY codes, but none will adjust the damn volume. Can anyone help? Or am i stuck with two controls?

Any help apreciated, i also have no problem adjusting how i have the setup wired.

Cheers,

Phil.

Buy a Logitech Harmony Remote. They start at £30 if you hunt online. I personally would go for one of the more expensive models e.g. 'The One'. It is the best remote I've owned and I came from a Pronto before that. They're easy to use and program and once setup you will wonder how you lived without one!

I got like 10 remotes... LOL

Either get a harmony or something, or put up with it.

There is only like 15 amps that you can use volume on sky, and dont think yours is one.

I was looking for the pioneer vsx 819 but no go

I stupidly thought this would have been the simple part, LOL.

They speaketh the truth! Reclaim the couch from your pile of remotes!

Picked up a Harmony 555 for not too much from Amazon (but really good deals seem to crop up pretty often), and have gone from five to a single remote.Really easy to set up and troubleshoot.

Happy days!

Necroscope:

Have you read the thread I recently started entiteled 'Tip: Use Sky remote to change volume on various AV receivers'? You should find it on Page 2 or 3 of this forum.
