I had 3 same priced, 'best buy' amps on home loan.
Even a non-hi-fi type wouldn't mistake the massive, surprising SQ difference between them....and Arcam was the least impressive.
Back on the subject for OP slunky:
Can only say that I've tried a couple of £100 DACs that I preferred to ones I tried costing £400-£600.
The Khadas Toneboard is one such £100 bargain example (currently unavailable, at least from Amazon).
It compares favourably with the improved DAC in the latest Cyrus amps.
Indeed, the March Audio DAC1 is the Khadas Toneboard (enclosed in a fancy case - but strangely, minus its coax input).
