This disc is apparently causing problems on certain players:-

My brother in law PS3 would not load it - is now downloading latest update. His Sharp BD Player would not play it at all. I will ask him if his is 2.0 profile where he will need internet connection.

On my Panasonic BD30 with no updates - takes 1 min 25 secs to display warning of update and it is 2 mins 5 secs before I get to the menu stage.

Up to forum members if they want to share what players are experiencing problems!

Got the sony BDP S550, ive never had it connected to the internet and so far every disk ive thrown at it has played fine. I may be missing out on the extras but i aint missing much!

Completely agree. I watched it last night and found the Bluray to be sharper and loads more detailed than 3D version at the cinema. I thought the close-up CGI shots of faces looked stunningly realistic. For aliens.
