A humming Lingo

I posted this link on the turntable forum a few days ago but didn't get any takers, so am reposting here.

Anybody got any ideas?

It's a pretty specialised query, Paul. But I looked on Linn's forum and found two similar queries (though you may find more). One where the owner px'd the noisy Lingo for an upgrade! The other remained unanswered:

I'd post again there or ring a Linn dealer. I'm sure it isn't unknown. I'm also pretty sure that a power suplly will draw more juice on start up, fairly obviously i guess.
