A complete System - I need help

Hi all, I need help. I've got a fairly big rectangular living room. I've always had systems that you buy off the shelf. However I've just bought a house and want to buy something special for the living room. I want a wireless CD / DVD surround sound system. My budget is abour £2500. What should I be getting in terms of amps, players etc.

hi ronan, to help us offer you as much advice as possible it would be handy to know your musical tastes and the dimensions of your room. also, you might want to take a look at the home cinema forum if you are just after a surround sound system - this forum specialises in hi-fi which is typically 2 channel playback. one thing i will say though - AFAIK there are no trully "wireless" speakers as the all require mains power (as such you will need lots of power points and wires anyway which defeats the purpose)
