875 how hot is hot ?

Hi all coming to you from Gold Coast Australia

Considering moving up from the 605 to the 875 (need the extra power to drive my stereo speakers) but everywhere i look the 875 runs hot.

Thought i would have the issue with the 605 so installed a fan and thermostat in the cabinet where my gear is. Rarely switches on and is set at 30c (except in summer when outside is 35c).

Height in cabinet is 245mm so i would have about 50mm clearance.

thoughts ?

i think you will have exactly the same issues as you have with the 605.

I have the 805 and dont have any extra cooling and never had any issues.

My 875 & Panny plasma keep my front room nice and warm - haven't had any overheating problems so far...

My 905 runs warm, but not hot. There is a good amount of open space around it though.
