Hi, Iam after a 55" tv, budget to be around £1000, less would be nice but i will see by your suggestions.
The tv itself will be use for streaming and not gaming , so films and sports etc, so good pic quality, colours etc would be nice, so basically a good panel
I am not up to speed of how to read panel specs and other specs that might turn yous off certain models and the specs that yous on the forum would first look out for to start your decisions on a model.
The wall where tv will be placed doesn't get hit with the sun, if that helps.
Cheers

Are you able to find a store to see some sets? In GB popular places include John Lewis, Richer Sounds and Curry’s.

We bought an LG 55” B-series in 2022 from Richer Sounds for considerably less than a grand. The previous year’s model is often significantly reduced, so I guess that would now be a 2024 or even 2023 version.

Ours still works superbly on all the platforms with software - Now TV, Netflix, iPlayer, ITV X, YouTube etc. I’d definitely look at LG, with Samsung a close rival.

For something different, especially if you like the backlighting, then Philips. Wherever you buy, make sure a five year guarantee is included as a minimum.

Tons of reviews in the main website, such as here…
