I am looking to purchase the technics sa-c600 and am looking for speaker options.

My room (my bedroom) is approx 15 x 13 foot. Usual uk room height.

Speakers would need to be wall mounted either side of the bedroom window. Mirrored wardrobes adorn the right side of the listening experience.

Previous system(s) were arcam alpha 7 cd with arcam alpha 8 amp and kef q10 speakers. Cd player was later updated to a Marantz offering.

I listen to all genres of music.

Why not stick with Technics SB600 or wharefdale 12.1 . you realy need to Demo some so many options and our ears are not the same has yours .

Just looking at some general options, so 12.1 and sb’s are ok closer to a wall?

I seem to recall a front firing speaker is advantageous when placing near a wall

Thanks

If you have to nail your speakers to the wall, as I did. Consider B+W CT7.3 (LRCS). Front ported and good value. Maybe a bit bright for some but, the more you turn the up the volume, the better they get. Mine are mounted way up high, 1 meter from the ceiling, (it's complicated)! Not perfect, but worked well enough for me.

Just had a look at those ct7.3, lol my wife would never agree to those.

My speakers will also be mounted that sort of height. Any lower and either the cats or the kids will wreck them!
