I have a mordaunt-short speaker set (carnival series), 5.1 speaker set to be exact. I also have an Onkyo tx-sr506 that can produce 7.1 sorround sound. I'm planning to buy additional 2 more speakers so I can set my home cinema into a 7.1 system. Is it okay to buy another model of mordaunt-short speakers or am I required to buy the same model? I'm planning to set the 2 new speaker to be my front speakers. Any advice from all of the experts?

Thanks Very Much!

If you can get the exact same speaker, so much the better. But you're on the right line thinking you should stick with M.S speakers regardless.

Thanks for the enlightenment sir. Actually I want to buy the floorstanding speaker of M.S (Same Carnival Series), The problem is, It eats to much space because of it's large size. I guess I 'll just go again with the bookshelf type. Thanks again...

Once you put standmount speakers on stands, they take up similar space to floorstanders anyway.

If floorstanders will fit, go for it!
