Yes. Not sure about your specific brand, but most PC soundcards (or even modern PC's without soundcards) should be able to handle 5.1. I have my PC connected to a 5.1 system via the optical connection directly from the motherboard.

And if your specific PC (that few people have ever heard of) doesn't do sound, just get a modern soundcard.
