37px80, thx optimizer, where?

just purchased my 37px 80 and the factory settings are awefull, im hoping i have the thx optimizer somewhere. Could someone tell me which dvd,s have it on.

Hi Matt,

Pretty much all DVD's showing the THX badge like the Star Wars films. Just look for the logo on the case and you should be in business!

Found one on my son's Incredibles..all PIxar have it apparently...dunno where you get the spex though!

You can order them direct from the THX online shop. Ignore the bonkers shipping charge it suggests - they'll be sent for just a few dollars. Or there's usually a few pairs on fleabay for about a fiver.

The only THX discs I appear to have are the Avatar SD and BD editions. They both have the THX logo, but I'm damned if I can find the optimizer.

Hi,

If I remember correctly you highlight the THX optimiser logo and click on it. It should then run through a series of tests.

Ooh, Lilo ans Stitch has it. Disney seems to be a theme.

The Disney version is not the THX optimizor it is a Disney version with completely different tests to the THX version and i find it much more difficult to calibrate the picture accurately with the Disney version, the THX optimizor is much easier to use imo.
