37PX80 questions - fuzzy lines, Topfield compatibility

I just got a Panasonic 37PX80 yesterday, and it is a lovely looking thing. But I'm having some teething problems I wanted to ask about.

When watching SD programmes, some of them are a little blurry. I expected this would be case with some viewing, but any tips on how to minimise it would be much appreciated.

More troubling, when watching the football last night, the white lines on the pitch looked like they had diagonal black stripes, and when the camera panned the lines had a ripple effect - kind of like looking at a hologram. This was really off-putting, and I'd really appreciate any advice on what the issue might be.

Finally, I own a Topfield PVR, and am facing some compatibility issues. I know at least one regular poster on this forum uses as Topfield with a HDTV (are you out there Professorhat?), and I thought there might be some solutions.
- when bringing up the 'now and next' panel (when pressing the right arrow button), its lower half is often concealed below the screen. This seems mainly to happen when the Auto function is resizing 4:3 sources to 16:9. Is there any way of getting around this without having to change the format every time?

- when bringing up the EPG or Archive, the Panasonic seems to resize the Topfield image a second after it appears, making it a very 'jumpy' transition. Again, any tips for getting around this would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Okay, I know what you mean about the resizing of some of the screens, but I've never actually found it to be a problem. Are you running any TAPs? I run EPG Navigator and ImproBox which maybe don't have the issue...
One thing to try is to use the 0 button to ensure the Toppy is in the right widescreen mode. Mine is in "16:9 Full" (appears in the top right hand corner as you press 0 to cycle through the options, though I had to put my TV in 4:3 aspect in order to see this display at the top).
Let me know if this helps or not.

Thanks Professor - pressing 0 on the remote control worked perfectly, and the issue is now resolved. Much appreciated.
