Which tv help these are my ideal specs which tv has all of these or most of these and in budget some confirmation will help me im rubbish at making descions especially when its a potentiall waste of 600 quid. Also everyone says image burn on plasmas is no longer a problem but it still worrys me especially as x box would play a big role in the tv and prolonged static images on the screen for 4-5 hours will be probable. Also response time will be of an issue.

Any help is much obliged.

37px80- ...everyone is right ..... price is about 575 quid and is a great picture. Take the 75 pound saving put towards buying an HD box and join the 21st century 🙂

ps what static game you playing on your xbox that leave an image for 4 hours?

Do the benefits of having a plasma outweigh the amount of caution needed when using them? not leaving things on pause for more then 15, being extra careful in the first 200 hours, its seems like alot of care and attention is needed to make sure you dont screw the screen. any game be it gta, pgr or whatever else where the info is stored top left.

Well I played 3.5 hours straight on GT5 when my 42" Pany plasma was brand spanking new and it was fine. No problems what so ever. I even fell asleep with the tv on the other night with a good few hours of ITV nightime info box's on screen and again no problems what so ever.

With todays technology you are very very unlikely to have any problems.

Even a good 4-5 hours on Burnout Paradise was no problem. No image retention or screen burn or anything else.

I think having a plasma just scares me too much especially as much g/f wont take as much care of it as i will so im gonna wimp out and go for LCD. I narrowed it down to either the

37lz80

or

37lxd85

Any other suggestions?

Fair enough, but you'll be missing out. As other's have said, over the last two weeks I've fallen asleep with Civilisation Revolution on the Xbox on my old Panny plasma screen for a good 8 hours, completely static. Must have done this 3-4 times in 2 weeks and no problems with screen burn.
