2D to 3D

Why would you not like to watch a favourt film, that has been converted, i have bought some blu ray films that i allready had on dvd, some were better some not, if there were improvements it was usualy on sound.

Yes, but that's simply making the most of what the original was meant to look/sound like; retrofitting old movies with 3D is simply wrong. As wrong as colourising black and white movies.

Right or wrong (and it is wrong, but I'm no fan of the current 3D revolution) 'classic' films are going to be repurposed in 3D as this seems the only remaining method of generating further revenues from existing film catalogues. The good news is we can vote with our wallets and not buy in to it, though it's inevitable George Lucas will make several billion dollars more...

Well, the 3D TVs like the Samsung and Sony has the ability to convert 2D materials to 3D.

Effect not as good as the real 3D BD disc.

But it does give you a taste of how the old 2D film will look like in 3D I guess.

No, by the time you've mixed up the right shade they've all moved again.

WHY WHY WHY Are the TV/movie companies pushing this so much,it sucks.

I have seen so many 3D TV's and they are all terrible.

Yes fair enough in a movie theatre which the screen is like 5000" but on a 40" tv come on.

Not for me, and just my opinion of course.
