couldnt give a hoot about brightness or lits of any other useless hi tech junk on tvs, just want a cheap tv that last 15-20 years, not these hi tech rubbish that are chucked out after 2 years..

OLEDs need to focus more on brightness and larger screen sizes (at 4K) while mini-LED needs to focus less on brightness and more on lighting control (black levels and blooming control) and viewing angles. In other words, both technologies should work on addressing their relative weaknesses. Most films in HDR are graded to 1000 nits and a handful at 4000 nits so anything above 4000 is superfluous.
