what is a midrange

ps. so there is not midrange in a 2 way speaker?

Its the frequency in the middle, between high and low. Yes 2 way have midrange but its handled by the woofer.

This is an old thread but whatever. There are further complications in the crossover construction of a three way speaker, although not really complications as such as most older speakers had to be designed with three transducers because of their limitations, more like complex.

ok so if the 2 way speaker have midrange then what is the meaning of another element like a 3 way speaker have?

in the same time you say old speakers are also 3 ways, then it mean maybe that it is a meaning of making them that way.

ps. there is also a 2,5 way speaker mmm?
