Can I use one sub with both the av receiver and stereo amp. The sub has left/mono and right inputs. And I plan on plugging the amps into one input each. Considering that only one amp will be working at any given time, will this setup work. Further, will the crossover set to av on the sub, work on both inputs to accept the av amp and stereo amp crossover settings. I plan to get another sub soon, and if this setup works , I will use both subs in the same configuration for both movie and music duties for more even bass response as pointed out in the LFE effects thread. Thanks for your time and replies :)

Depends on the input.

There can connect to some subs low and high level.

However you need to check if the sub accepts a high level signal before wiring it up this way. Also make sure you wire it correctly

In terms of crossover there is a crossover on most subs you will have to set that for the high level connection.
The av receiver will still control crossover however if you set the crossover low on the sub and high on the receiver it will still be low if that makes sense
Best to keep them the same.

Hope that helps

Also be careful with the amp pioneer receivers don't like high level wiring can cause them to shut off / fault for example.

Thanks for the suggestions. But iam not sure my sub has high and low level inputs. Iam using a qacoustics q7070si sub. And was planning on connecting it to both the str-dn 850, as well as the bluesound power node. Will it still work without a blowup.
