At present, I've got some van damme blue professional 2.5 cable wiring up my rears (ooh matron). However due to the unending input of my other half (who coincidentally was once a ward sister) concerning when the 'ugly blue drainpipes strewn around the room' are going to be removed, I have bought some QED Micro. Gave it a quick blast last weekend and it was excellent - just waiting for some new banana plugs, and a chance to hide it under the carpet (which is a cinch) for a proper 'Happy Wife' installation.

I only had a short blast of the QED as I'm not ready to properly install it yet. It was quite a revelation for something which is so thin compared to the van damme as you sort of expect it not to sound as good. However, as soon as the new banana plugs arrive, the van damme's going into storage !

Is the QED micro cable the silver micro version or standard micro?

Hi Paul,

I bought the standard micro - mainly because the silver costs as much per metre as what I paid for the XT Silver Anniversary on my fronts and centre, and as I need 30m for the rears, I couldn't justify spending that much cash (actually the wife couldn't justify me spending that sort of cash!) on the Silver Micro or the XT.

i use van damme studio 6mm myself and you cant get better in high street shop for less than 20 pound per m

Trade member??? I imagine a market stall where the 'speaker cable' is used to hold up a 'clothes line' of 'older' ladies underwear...the sort of underwear which you'd have to take down if there were high winds....
