2.1 System or a Soundbar Under £400???

I'm looking for a new speaker system to complement my TV (TXP42GT30)in my front room as the sound isn't the best.

I'm considering a 2.1 system or a soundbar. I've looked at the following sound bars and just wondering if anyone has these or any advice on any?

Yamaha YHT-S400 - Looks good on paper but unsure about subwoofer as I'd prefer to have this on the floor rather than stacked.YHT-S400 - Front Virtual Surround Systems - Yamaha - UK and Ireland

Pioneer HTP-SB510 - Also a decent option Pioneer HTP-SB510 - www.pioneer.co.uk

Panasonic - SCHTB520 - would link well with the TV but slightly on the larger and chunkier side. Home Cinema - Speakers - SC-HTB520 - Overview - Panasonic UK & Ireland

On the 2.1 options I'm open to any advice?

Will watch this thread with interest. I too am after a soundbar, mind you £100 budget under yours...Max £300. Have you considerd Orbitsound bar T12, got rave reviews.. an Ipod dock too!

Q Acoustics TV2 or TV2X depending on screen size.

Epoz Aktimate Maxi.

They are stereo only but decent amount of bass I would say.
