.......

I prescribe a better system or a greater variety of recordings to cure you of your music fatigue.

My eras are fine with every day listening.

As an adjective, there should not be a space so that's two spelling mistakes.
It did cross my mind when typing it, but The_Lhc hasn't been around for a while, so I thought I'd get away with it 🙂

(and you've got nothing to say about the first post?!)

Wait til you're trying to mix something. After an hour I can't really tell if the changes I'm making are better or just different. Go away for a while come back and I'm like "Jesus how the hell did I even think that sounded right"

Play different eras on different days.

I have folky days, classical days (orchestral and/or classical guitar), acoustic days etc. It's all there to enjoy. Sometimes I chase up some of the site recommends on Spotify

regards tonky

I don't think I go a day without listening to music, but I get the original posters thinking. Yesterday my neighbours were out, the daughter is away on holiday and we had no football.....so it was a 7 hour session. Absolutely loved it.

I listen to music almost every day too. I also find it good to mix up the musical styles. Echo what other say that your hi-fi itself should not be fatiguing.

You can always use something like Spotify and play something random that you would never normally listen to.

I alternate between my two systems, so no boring or somnolent sounds to the ears or eras.

Today I'm enjoying my upstairs NAD-Argon system while the lady is enjoying her favorite Netflix serie downstairs. Only some acoustic adjustments to the room upstairs and I'm totally happy! No fatiguing for me.

Abstination makes heart grow fonder, to paraphrase a popular idiom. I think it's wise to have a break from any hobby now and again. Then when you come back to it you get chance to fall in love with it all over again.

How you listen
Some people are happy to have music running in the background and other the speakers blasting out.

Too much of anything is not good. To much work, food, exercise or even entertainment.

There should be a balance to everything. Myself, i find i enjoy music much more when ive had a break and its not routine. A drink also helps

I'm fortunate in that I don't have any connected neighbours and last night Mrs Loop worked an extra night shift (she's a nurse). So I opened a bottle of Amarone, cranked up the volume and played Jazz (Mrs Loop is not a fan) 'till gone 3:00am.

Bliss.

I listen to my hifi everyday

never get fed up listening to music the only thing that changes is what mood I am in then it's a choice of what type of music I want to play .

thats what music is really to me but if I was without a hifi or music I do not function properly.

Racist police would have been out in force. Remember not everyone on here has english as a first language.

Of couse, the OP has got no excuse for his use of capitals. That is a faux pas, as they say in english!

The first thing I do when I come downstairs in the morning is put the Hi Fi on and when I come in from work... can't live without music.

I don't want to be a killjoy but I believe prolonged listening especially to loud music is not good for our hearing. So it is always best to give our ears a rest otherwise we won't be able to hear the birds singing on the organic sound system playing in the garden or local park.
