As of today, I can no longer get iPlayer or Netflix on TV using Freesat with Humax HDR 1100S. The Freesat webpage doesn't show Netflix or iPlayer on the channel list. Have they removed these features (amongst others recently), or is it just a temporary glitch with Freesat, my internet etc...

So what is the explanation for this, and how can I stop it?

How, or why does this happen? I haven't set this to record, but it keeps appearing on my 'planned' list. I really worry about this invasion of my privacy and the fact that an external process is setting programmes to record which I haven't set. I've searched everywhere, but can't find any other...

Thanks. Erm..........are you sure though? How do you know this? I think you're right anyway. It seems the epg for C4 etc. is currently only showing up to 5 days ahead, rather than the usual 7.

According to my epg channel guide, there are no broadcasts from C4, E4, 4more, Film 4 etc. on Freesat as from July 16th. I've searched everywhere, including the Freesat web site, but can find no information about this. Does anyone know what's going on?

Intriguing idea. Hadn't thought of it myself, as over the last 8 years have had CA650A, NAD can't remember, and Rotel RA1520. The Marantz delivered a better sound all round, but didn't alter the recessed PMCs or the greater scale of the 685s. I'm still with the 685s, and after all these years...

I don't understand the problem here. For superb HD quality streaming from the BBC, I run my laptop into the DAC of my Audiolab 8200CD, via, for example, the R3 iplayer site. Many of the live studio performances sound stunning, and mostly much better than my digital FLAC masters, CDs, and vinyl.

We hated the remote that came with our 1100s, and then some of the buttons stopped working consistently. We ended up using the remote from our previous Humax model, which works perfectly. You can still get them from Amazon.

Try The Gloaming, Danish String Quartet, Olivia Chaney to name but few. Listen to BBC R3 for ideas, especially the daily 'In Tune' programme. This stuff benefits from being listened to on high fidelity equipment.
