What are your thoughts on the Dyanaudio Excite 44 speakers? Not much out there in the way of reviews. Have found a new pair from a dealer within a couple of hours drive that I can go listen to for $2500 USD.

Would I be correct in saying that many of today's speakers in my price range are designed more for home theatre multichannel setups and not two channel audio which is what I am looking for?

There is dealer about 80 miles from me that carries Ryan and Dali speakers.

When buying speakers how do folks evaluate them since your system specs and room layout will influence the sound? Some of the great speakers listed are also not available in the US or not nearby.

I just started noticing it. It is a mechanical hum from the motor. I remove the belt, platter, etc. it still hums.

Has anyone experienced a hum from their Project X1 at startup? Last a few seconds and then seems to go away. I have video I can post where the hum is clearly audible. This isn't hum from the ground wire, but motor hum. Thanks,

Correct. Just an amplifier.

The Yamaha has plenty of power. I would like to drive more bass if possible with the speakers. The room is a large L shape with the system on the long wall of the L.
