Have a look at Matrix Audio. I picked up a lovely Headphone amp/dac second hand for £200 recently. Wireless AirPlay 2 from your iPhone or else plug in an Ethernet cable and stream away. Amazing sound quality
Hi
I am looking for my first pair of wired earphones.
I have done quite a bit of research but am bewildered by the number of different IEMs available.
My budget is £100, and will be playing via a Hip Dac v2 linked to my MacBook or iPhone. I am not a basshead but value a decent soundstage...
As a hearing aid user the best advice I can give is that a pair of NHS hearing aids set up by an NHS audiologist will trounce any private ones. NHS aids might not have the fads and gadgets of private ones but NHS audiologists spend years being trained, That high street optician beginning with S...

Are you sure about this? I've never heard of a warranty that lets you have a full refund within the warranty period. As somebody else has said, its usually "repair or replace". You might be lucky to get a refund for a faulty unit within a reasonable cooling-off period (30 days?), but highly...
If you paid full price then I would return them. If however you bought them at a discount I would live with it. From the photos the woofer doesn't' appear to be punctured so should still work effectively. Perhaps you need to invest in some grilles to mask the imperfection? Its a shame the Q...

Thank you for all the helpful advice.
The Onkyo 809 at £699 seems much more inexpensive than the other suggested amps (Yamaha A2010 & Pioneer LX75)
Is is that much of a bargain? I must admit that the others are a little out of my budget although might try haggling if they really are an...
Sorry - should have added that the set-up is used solely for movies, I have an iPhone, so connectivity would be good, but not a deal-breaker.
Listening room is 5m x 4m
Total budget - up to £1000 if pushed.
