My current system is 2 mono x 200'. Dac xp+ With a psxr and a stream xv2. as always I'm tempted to upgrade and looking a the DAC xp signature. Does upgrading to the latest models make such a difference. I could upgrade both my power amp and steam to the signature models, but is it worth it ?

Purely by chance I noticed a faint whiff of burning close to my DAC. It had been running from cold for around 2 hours. Touching the casing it was very warm. is this common, for them to run so warm, or am I likely to have a problem ?

My pioneer Bdplx70a is on its last legs I fear. when new this was £1000 how much do I need to spend to get the same quality player, and what would you recommend ?

Dac XPDQX+ is a reprocessed unit. Unpacking it, it looks brand new, so I don't know what Cyrus do with these, but it could well be new, or had a full overhaul and had lots of new parts.
