Recommendations please: Closed-back, non shrill-sounding, good bass and comfortable under £200

No no dont get me wrong im not saying the D2000's are bright. I can see how my comment could confuse, I was just saying that out of the three hifi cans that I own, using the Caiman as a source/amp the denons are the brightest. Switching to my Bravo tube amp they sound alot better not bright at...

Recommendations please: Closed-back, non shrill-sounding, good bass and comfortable under £200

Is the reason for switching because of the headband only or do you find the denons harsh and bright aswell? Because out of the three headphones I have the Denon D2000's are the brightest I have compared to Grado RS2i and AKG K701's. Otherwise the D2000's would be a good choice as their my most...

Do you need an amp for grado 325i?

Its funny the difference between headphone and speaker discussions. I've never seen a speaker thread get down to derogatory comments about other peoples choice of speaker but seen it quite often when it comes to headphones.

Do you need an amp for grado 325i?

Just listened to my iGrados through my Beresford Caiman and the igrados had more bass almost getting to the point of over powering, they just seemed to be tuned to sound like their turned up to 11 and I loved it. I could get a similar effect by pushing the RS2is closer to my ears, so actually It...

Do you need an amp for grado 325i?

I just tried using my RS2i's straight from my iphone using apple lossless files. Dont do it. For one thing jack plug is big and heavy, I used the step down from AKG k701's and apart from it sticking out neally 3 inches, a wiggle would break up the audio. I AB with my iGrados and the first...

    Apple lossless CD correction

I started to rip my CDs with error correction on and it was taking ages, 2x something like that, the pc had a slimline drive so that must have been the cause I guess. So then I turned it off and rips stared taking minutes to complete then. The thing is the rips that didnt have error correction...

Looking for a USB DAC/Headphone AMP

I have a Caiman and while its a really good DAC/amp its strictly stereo and over 200 quid. How about a uDAC not quite sure it ticks all your boxes but is cheaper than the musiland and gets favourable reviews. http://www.nuforce.com/hp/products/iconudac/

Q For WHF: AKG Q701 Pricing

Please someone correct me if im wrong but I always thought that the K702's were the same as the K701's apart from the removable cable and colour. And the only difference between the Q701 and a K702 is the colour. So my understanding was that the Q701's and K701's sound the same but one cost...

    Partner for Sennheiser HD600

The HD600s are 300 ohm so need amping to do them justice. If you are interested in the Novo, I noticed a used one on ebay at a reasonable price or how about something like a little dot 3, that is a popular pairing.

    sennheiser Hd600 only £99.99 @ PLAY.com

Both the HD650's and HD600's are sold out on play and will be for afew months yet I imagine. I want a hight impedance headphone like the senns to go with my grado rs2i's and denon d2000's, so no rush for them just want to get a good price on them.

Need I-Trip type accessory for Sansa Fuze

I use this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kensington-Liquid-FM-Plus-Transmitter/dp/B000UVQ1TS I havent had a problem with it, mine was a freebie so cant complain that I have to turn the volume up and it suffers from faint static, when the music plays you cant really hear the static anyway.
