Considering the good sound quality of these amplifiers, I would ask if it is worth buying tube amplifiers from China because they are at a good price. They can be found for less than 500 - 600 pounds or US $. The brand Yaqin and Music Angel make this kind of cheap devices but perhaps breakable...

The source is a Marantz CD6002 player. Perhaps is better the Audiolab 8200 CD and I need to change the Marantz for a better sound?.

I think that the A1 is a good amplifier but with the time (the A1 is 20 years old) I´ve noticed a change in their sound and has lost the sweetness and now the amplifier sounds too bright...for this reason I wish to change the speakers and perhaps I can to solve the problem with the Rogers...

I have a old amplifier Musical Fidelity A1 and I would wish to connect a pair bookshelfs Rogers LS4a/2. Are those speakers a good company for the A1?. The speaker cables are Van den Hul CS-122 Hybrid and a Marantz CD6002 player.

About the EPOS ES 14, I believe that those speakers needs a dedicated speaker stands of the same brand EPOS to give the better sound. But those speaker stands is difficult to find. I´ve thought in to buy the Soundstyle Z2 at 130 Euros and I hope that the ES 14 works right on the Z2...

Also I´ve found a pair of REGA RS3 speakers at price of 350 pounds and perhaps I decide to buy those product. Maybe be better option than the EPOS ES14 because I like the classic "english sound" with not-bright treble.

Thanks you for the comments. I believe that the EPOS ES14 are the best match for my old Musical Fidelity A1. Better than the QUAD 11L. There are other models like EPOS M12 or EPOS M5i but I like the ES14. Also I´ve heard good things about the HEYBROOK HB1. These speakers are other model...

I have read excellent comments about B&W 685's (specially with the soundstage) and also I consider this option.

If the new B&W 685 S2 are bright, I think a solution is trying to change the cables. For example, a Van den Hul The Name for the interconnect and a Van den Hul CS-122 Hybrid for the speakers can to make a less bright sound.
