    Kuro LX5090 crackling sound

Hi guys I hope you are all well. Just had my TV on playing some PS3. I heard some crackling like an arching sound. Nothing visible on the picture and there are no speakers on the TV. It's deffinitely not my sound system and no cables are loose in my set up. I haven't had a chance to look...

Pioneer SC-LX73 no output through HDMI

For the moment the amp is working correctly again. I haven't had a chance to check the firmware due to Router placement against where my AVR is. I've not had time to do a factory reset. Now the possible offending HDMI cable has been removed and the AVR has regained it's composure I'm hoping...

Pioneer SC-LX73 no output through HDMI

Ah yes. I clearly wasn't thinking straight. I shall try a factory reset and also plug it in to the internet and see if there is an upgrade. You know I've never checked. Mostly because I had poor internet and the router was too far away. Thanks for the reply abacus. I'll let you know how I get...

Pioneer SC-LX73 no output through HDMI

Hi guys how is everyone? It's been a while. Happy new year and all that? Did anyone go to the Bristol Show at the weekend? Right. My lovely AVR (see subject header) has stopped outputting anything through HDMI. All other functions appear to work. Also it takes an age to turn off and earlier I...

    Finlux HDMI ports

Maybe they intended the TV more as a monitor rather than a full TV. I no not everyone has a surround sound system but TV sound is so poor having to cope with all that audio. I can't stand having to watch anyones TV without an external sound system with all the dipping of sounds when the audio...

    Dolby Digital or PCM audio?

Something not quite right with your set up if PCM is harsh. If anything it should sound less crisp and much closer to real life than DD does. DD is processed that's why it sounds more refined (fake) where as PCM is straight from the desk basically. If it's too loud turn it down.

    can you hear a difference?

Comparing a lossless codec from one film against a lossie codec on a completely different film isn't really going to give you the answer to be honest. The Blade Runner soundtrack on DVD may sound more crisp and clear but that's cause the signal is compressed thus giving an artificial sense of...
