    Replacement bulb for BenQ w1070+

No, warranty's up... it's really if there's any major difference in quality - I'm not fussed on a 5% difference in black blacks or white whites, unless there was minimal price difference, biut 50 vs 130 is quite a bit.

    Replacement bulb for BenQ w1070+

Bulb has gone, so any advice on replacements? Clearly the geniune one would be best bet but at £126 vs £50 for a non genuinine, without sounding naive, what difference (really) is there?

Decent mini hi-fi under £400 to power x4 ceiling speakers and Mac compatible

Again, speakers were trashed too - had Monitor Audio CT165's – sound was amazing (for what we need) so wanted to get the same but understand they're now replaced with C165's which have better cones.

Decent mini hi-fi under £400 to power x4 ceiling speakers and Mac compatible

Hi I had a Marantz M-CR611 for a year before a plumbing leak broke it. Was going to replace it with the same unit but wondered if there's a better one out which is Mac compatible or plays music stored on an external HD, which that unit didn't (only a music centre which I understood meant buying...

Marantz M-CR611 – playback music using a Mac?

Can anyone please help with even letting me know if this is possible? Can the unit play iTunes from my Mac, or a back up HD? Manual says a PC or NAS. Had the thong 4 months now and all I'm using is radio, internet radio and CD, hardly getting the value out of it :/ Thanks

    Projector bulb life

Hi, I have a BenQ 1070+. I'm concerned about the bulb life and cost, so when the kids stop for dinner etc for half hour or so, should I be getting them to switch it off or does this in fact add more used hours? The hours used only display full hours, so do the remaining hours add one every time...

Recommendations for a micro hi-fi to work with 4x ceiling speakers?

Thanks Benedict Arnold - so assuming there would be a noticeable differecnce in sound with a set up wit 1. Marantz MRC611 with the CT165 ceiling speakers wired one to each terninal vs 2. Denon Denon DM40 DAB with teh same speakers run parallel ? The sound will never be seriously high, it is...

Recommendations for a micro hi-fi to work with 4x ceiling speakers?

Recommendations for a micro hi-fi to work with 4x ceiling speakers?

Installing in a kitchen diner - just want a fairly mid range (not cheap and nasty, but not wanting top of the range - £2-300?) hi-fi with a CD player and the usual latest connections, radio features etc. Do I 'have' to get a unit with 4x speaker connections or can I connect a pair to each of a...

Sound system recomendation for 3x3m cinema rm

Of course I did mean the 'x'2200 not 'z'2200! :) Thanks Chris, this is exactly the answer I was looking for - a tried and tested system in a similar sized room. So this receiver has the exact DTS:X function that was mentioned here... is it good?

Sound system recomendation for 3x3m cinema rm

Hi Benedict Wow, never even heard of atmos or DTS:X, but I think these are way over spec'd for my needs. I'm looking sor an all in sound system at around £400, and also Atmos will involve cables up to the ceiling. I guess wireless speakers are no an option and within this budget? So is DTS:X an...

Sound system recomendation for 3x3m cinema rm

Hi Norman Thanks for the wisdom, but anything on the floor is a 100% no no, just haven't the room, plus the room doubles up as a play room for our 6 & 8 yr old - I did say it wasn't the ideal cinema rm! :) I'll make something, that's no problem, but ideally wanted a floating shelf as I detest...

Sound system recomendation for 3x3m cinema rm

Hi I'm looking for a recommendation for a fairly mid range/decent sound system set up for a cienma room? I've not done a full on proper ceonversion - it's a high ceiling Victorian room, solid walls, 3x3m with no sound proofing and has wooden floors so sound is hardly going to be the best it can...

Sound system for a 3x3m cinema room

Was looking/thinking of the PIONEERS-HS100. Too ambitious? What sort or treatment would help, carpeting the walls? Is there a special type?
