Update: I have just bought the Kef LS50s with my Denon AVRX2000. Initially straight out of the box I was extremely disappointed with them. The bass sounded muffled and I I really had to turn the amp upto 80db to near vocals clearly. My Arcam Musos on the Denon were many many times better...
Hmmm interesting divide of opinions here. I have heard the Kef R100s they sound really good. I really need to get a demo of the Concept 20s.
I can't see this competing with the Kef R100s IMHO but I know they Concept 20s have rave reviews. I expect ppl to have a different opinion on which is...
Hi,
Has anybody heard or compared these speakers? If so how do they compare? I am assuming the Kef R100 being almost twice the price would be the better of the two? I am using a Denon AVRX2000
Thanks
:)
Thanks for the constructive feedback, I also have taken on your point we talked about withe the Q300 being easier to drive . I guess I am thinking long term for when I eventually upgrade my amp too :)
What would be better Kef R100s with a Kef C4 subwoofer or the R300s without a sub. I already have a Kef C4 sub so do I save a lot of cash and just get the R100s?
Thanks
Hi.
I would like to hear opinions especially those who have heard both speakers please? From searches a lot of people think the Q300s have better bass than the R100s. Does anyone know if the R100 has good bass then? Better than the R100s doesn't really help as I don't know how good the Q300s...
See previous posts.
Okay so I finally decided on the Monitor Audio BX2s and went ahead and ordered them. This arrived on Tuesday and I got them setup all excited finally replace me Arcam Musos and use them as rears. I couldn't have been more disappointed! Whilst they were not bad speakers...
Thanks sounds like its worth getting as a long term investment to me. I mean if I bought them now I may not get the best out of them with a Denon AVRX2000 but for when I eventually upgrade my amp it will only get better and better with the LS50s :) thanks for your good advice. :)
I am thinking about getting either the Wharfedale 121s or the kef R100s. The Wharfedales would save me a lot of cash so I guess I am really after the opinions of anyone who have heard both speakers to help me make my decision.
Thanks :)
