Thanks prof, the cables had an additional pin attached to them so the tv end wouldn't connect to that connection. Noticed now that it pulls off so now fits. Really helpful, thanks a lot

Just wanted to say what great service I've had from Arcam recently. My solo developed a fault, so I returned it to Arcam for a service / repair expecting to receive a call with a price the work as the unit was out of warranty. They repaired the fault, upgraded the software and posted it back...

It's obviously a personal choice, but I'd go with Apoolo as well. I just don't get the Cyrus hysteria, just sounds a bit cold and clinical to me.

I'm planning on treating myself to an upgrade and have a £1k budget. I'm pretty happy with the overall sound from my set up, but can hear definite improvements when auditioning newer kit from Arcam and Roksan (I'm tempted to keep the same combo of Roksan amp, Arcam CD as it works for me but...

I'd say they are of the same quality, but much different sounds if that makes sense. If you want the smoother sound then it's arcam, brighter, then Kandy. in terms of value, the arcam wins hands down, especially as you see a few on ebay for £200 ish (as mine will be soon)

I have a Arcam CD73 and Roksan Kandy k Miii amp (the older model than one you're considering) and they work really well. They seem to balance each other out nicely, the slightly brighter roksan sound compliments the traditional arcam smoothness. I'm upgrading at the moment and will be looking...

My Arcam CD73 appears to have died (either says no disk, or will shows number of tracks and then won't play if anyone as any ideas). Replacement is going to have to be sub £300, I've listened to the Nad C542 today which was quite good. Any other suggestions ? Amp is Roksan Kandy mk 3...

This may be a daft question, but will bookshelf / standmount speakers be OK on bookshelves or should I put them on stands ?
