I would have to state that i have never found any speaker benifit from bi-wireing and it generally just messes up the soundstage attempts at bi-amping have always yealded big improvements however

having had a similar problems with an A28 id advise contacting a dealer about the issue ive never had any timley responce from arcam and genrally they take frequent attempts to resond to emails have you tried raising them on the phone?

I can Recommend the Marantz UD5005 im very impressed with it's PQ and Sound is Miles better than my old sony bdp and has been solid as a rock in terms of reliabilty

as far as I'm aware the is no difference with the chord cables at all! the only physical difference for HDMI 1.4 was that the final pin on the connectors is now used however the chord guy at the show said there's has been connected for ages anyway so it makes no difference to there...
