Hi All

Just about to buy a B&W Zeppelin Air or A5 but can not decide....I was set on the A5 as I figured newer technology and couldn't stretch to the A7's price, but then heard the Zep Air in John Lewis and thought the sound was a bit fuller.

What do you guys think...? (And yes, I agree neither will measure up to even a budget hi-fi, but its only to complement my current system).

Would be grateful to hear all opinions and look forward for some input.

Many thanks

Hi i have had a zeppellin air for the last few years and have to say it just looks so good wherever you put it. The A5 definatley doesnt compete aesthetics wise, although i dont know what the sound is like. But a music dock is a music dock at the end of the day and they are both B&W so sound good, id go with what looks better IMO.

thanks Playback, you know what I think you're right. A dock is a dock not a Hi-fi, whoever makes it. And personally I think that the Zep is comparable to the A7 in sound presence, and the A5 probably struggles to fill larger spaces.

Zep -£350

A5 - £400

A7 - £700!

Think it has to be the Zep...... plus you get a dock to charge your phone.....mind you, I'd love to hear the Loewe Airspeaker.... lol

Hi

My wife and I bought the Zeppelin 2 in 2012. It is used daily in our kitchen, really great room filling sound. Especially useful as it has Airplay, and we don't need to leave the room to play music. Lazy, I know (!), but has been worth every penny, we love it.

Have a look at these before you buy a Zepp. Great little speakers that could well be what you're looking for.
