I took the plunge on the weekend and hadaway with my ld logitech Z5500 5.1 system and bought the Yamaha RX-V667. I currently just have the Logitech satellite speakers attached and a Q Acoustics 2000C centre speaker (i dont have a subwoofer setup with the Yamaha yet as I dont have one)
Anyways im looking to suggestions on which speakers to pair with the Yamaha and why? I dont understand any of this what goes well with what but what im looking for is examples and reason if possible
I dont want to spend too much money on the speakers so i was thinking of leaving the rear / sides as the logitech satellites and upgrading the 2 front speakers to the Q Acoustics 2020 bi-wire speaker so i can bi-amp those. I was going to pair the system with the Wharfedale SW150 subwoofer but im also looking for suggestions on which sub to go for too. I dont like the bass to be too heavy and prefer a more punchy sound as the walls are quite thin for the neighbours I have on 1 side of the house
