Hi just wondered if anyone can give me some advice regarding the settings on my amp and Blu-ray player.I have the above amp connected to my sony BDP-370 blu-ray player via an HDMI lead . I have noticed that when playing blu-ray disc with an audio track of 5.1DTS-HD MA the display on my amp shows PCM instead of DTS. I can't get the amp to display DTS so i was wondering should the amp display PCM when playing blu-ray discs and if not what do i do to change this.

I would be grateful for any advice

You need to set audio to DIRECT

Apologies to the OP but this question comes up almost daily all over the web.

Memo to Sony (and the rest) - Please turn secondary audio off by default. We don't want/need half of these useless features on BD and if we do we will turn them on ourselves. Most people want their AV Receiver to decode the audio and see the nice shiny lights on their Receiver.

Also ensure you are using none of the cinema sound dsp modes as it defaults to Dolby or DTS 2.0. As above use direct or straight mode.
