Yamaha 377: Sound is poor. Is it faulty?

Hi there,

I just got myself a yamaha 377 and the sound is poor. It is like if it misses many bass...

I do the test with an ipod after using the automatic set up. I only use 2 speakers. The cables are big fat copper cables...

Note that when I plug the headphones to the receiver than the sound is OK in the headphones...

I am pretty sure that both my speakers did not blow up overnight heheheheh... but I will do a test with another set...

What do you recommend? is there something that i am doing wrong?

Gosh... i just tested with other speakers and it seems that it is the speakers that are faulty. Both of them... at the same time... can it be possible? I have a surge proctector... how ca that happen. They were both fine last time i used them...

Perhaps you are better with submarine fishing...do the speakers have 4 terminals in the back? are all of them connected to the wires?
