Hi guys I've decided to power the MA Silver RX6AV12 with a Yamaha AV... It's my first AV, I'm not to fussed about the gadgets on there... Apart frm the price difference what's the difference between the 1010, 2010 and 3010...?

right, the main difference i saw was the -

- power rating

- 2010 and 3010 were 9.2 whereas the 1010 was 7.2...

- the 3010 was 'zone 4', 2010 was 'zone 3 and the 1010 was 'zone 2' - what does that mean...?

- whats 'HQV'...? 2010 and 3010 had it but not the 1010...

am i missing anything else...

Features aside there is a big step up in sound between the models as a result of the construction and components. The 1010 to 2010 is the biggest jump but you can hear the benefits of moving to the 3010.

If you are not to concerned about the latest model than you may want to consider the Yamaha RX-V3067 on sale at SSAV for £699.00

Works fantastic with the Monitor Audio RX6 AV12 and was a real step up from my previous Denon AVR2311.

Will save you a few quid in the process.

Good luck.
