XBox and PS3 Component output

I have a Phillips TV Model No. 30PF9975/12 which is used as a 2nd TV. Now my son wishes to connect his PS3 to it using the component inputs. However, the TV will not show the output from the PS3. We have also tried it with an Xbox but that also has the same problem.

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect the PS3 to this TV. I have contacted Phillips Customer Support but they have not responded despite repeated emails.

Any help would be much appreciated.

hmmmm..I suspect that the PS3 & x-box have been set up on your number 1 tv to output 1080p, whilst the Philips can only outpit 1280x 768p.

Try linking the PS3 and x-box to your number 1 tv amd reset the video output to bog standard defintion tv at 480p/i then link it back to the Philips and reset the video output resolution to 1280x768p.Good luck !
