"A DAC that delivers much of the sound of its £1400 sibling, Hugo, at a fraction of the price... Tested at £399"

Ah my bad. I thought the universe stopped working for a minute there.

My eyes still hurt though.

I like "It's the Mojo's ability to organise all that information into a cohesive and music whole that makes it stand out from the competition." Putting to one side the grammatical error (does WHF have anybody who can write English?) do they really think any piece of electronic equipment can "organise" the recorded signal to make it musical? (I have a mental image of some software which looks at the incoming bit stream and says if we move this bit over here and that bit over there it will be more musical.) Perhaps they do, who knows? Of course the cynic in me says it's all baloney simply aimed at selling magazines but what do I know?

A generation or two ago of WHF journos (around 1992 I think) took seriously the idea of putting rubber bands round the edges of your CDs to make them sound better. Not just any rubber bands, mind you, I think they cost GBP5.99 each and had to be the right shade of green to match the colour of the CD laser...

For those of us old enough to remember cassette decks, let alone reel-to-reel tape players, and the mess they used to cause when they tapes went flying, imagine trying to extracate an errant rubber band from the insides of your brand new 2000 quid slot loading CD transport....

Can't comment about sound quality or its electronics. However, I would feel better if someone told me that is actually kid's pencil sharpener and they were pulling our legs selling it as a hi-fi product.
