Went to see them last night and was blown away, yeah the music was great, Bonio was in fine voice but the 'claw' stage and monitor screen was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!

The screen was 360 degress wrap around the stage and was sooo clear and vibrant, seemed like HD and then some. It was made up of lots of smaller 'diamond' shapes, could rise and fall above the stage and elongate to 3 times it's size whilst still showing pictures. It was a sight to behold and extremely impressive.

Oh and not forgetting the sound quality which was fantastic, the boys certainly spent their wedge on decent amps/speakers. The stadium acoustics from where we were had no ill effects at all, it was all so clear and understandable.

Great stadium too.

Agreed about U2 and The Claw. I went on the first night and they were great. The video screen that extends down is awesome. And I so want a mirrorball like they have on the top of the tower (complete with little religious cross on top - did you notice that?). Oh, and how cool is it to have a jacket with fricken lasers in it!! Bono is so lucky...

But, I have to disagree with the bit on sound quality. I heard they improved things for the 2nd night, but on Friday night the sound was not great. Echo, with certain bass frequencies seemingly getting 'stuck' under the stands and vibrating the whole place. Not great.

Btw, IMHO Wembley Stadium is totally bland and boring and is not good enough as a national football stadium for England. Sorry, but I feel it represents one of the biggest wastes of money in British capital project history (only The Dome tops it). Seriously, £800 million - are you freeking kidding me!! I wonder how much of that money was... ahem, 'siphoned off'...... It has less character than Gordon Brown.

Rant over ;)
