Wiring woofer to Audiolab 8000A

I've got a woofer for my Auidiolab 8000A (with DIN connectors).

I was assuming I could just hook it up to Pre-Amp Output, but after it not working I am starting to think it is probably wired to one of the phono connectors?

I am connecting my laptop directly to Tuner socket. Is there any way to connect woofer without using Y splitters?

Was so eager to hook everything up as soon as possible and now this!

Thanks.

The pre-outs should work. Did you definitely plug the cables into the input on the sub, not the outputs? Might be worth making sure the sub is working. Is it an active subwoofer (plugs in the mains)?

Sub is active with RCA's. Managed to wire everything as mono for the moment.

Here's my options.

What baffles me is the Record dial on the amp.

Does this select what to output to the Pre-Amp Out?

Also I bought this amp from audio equipment restorer. He said there was nothing wrong with it when he got it so he just repainted the case. Perhaps not working pre-amp outs is the reason previous owner got rid of it, just guessing.

Still think though that pre-amp works only for phono-ins.
